The Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary protects the wildlife, habitats, and cultural resources of over 3,200 square miles of ocean waters off the northern and central California coast. Lamorinda 4-H Club

4-H is a community of young people learning leadership, citizenship and life skills. 4-H members participate in fun, hands-on learning experiences. Our booth will showcase the many active projects in the Lamorinda 4H club including bee keeping, sewing, rocketry, pocket pets, rabbits, and many more. Some projects will bring along their animals for a petting zoo!

Plant With Purpose

Plant With Purpose is a Christian development organization that transforms lives in rural areas around the world where poverty and environmental degradation intersect. We equip impoverished farming families to change their circumstances, provide for their children, and live with God-given hope and dignity. We do this through sustainable agriculture training, land restoration, savings-led microfinance, church mobilization, and local leadership development.

Lafayette Community Garden

Imperfect Produce is a produce delivery service on a mission to reduce food waste and create a more sustainable food system. Imperfect purchases produce from farmers that cannot be sold in conventional grocery stores due to sizing, shape, color, and overall aesthetic issues. Imperfect then repackages and resells these 'uglies' at 30-50% off grocery store prices. Imperfect currently brings in over 60,000 lbs of rescued produce each week!

White Pony Express is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating hunger and poverty in Contra Costa County by delivering the abundance all around us to those in need. We always need volunteers for both the food rescue program and the Free General Store.

Wheel Kids runs programs to promote kids riding bikes in their community. We offer learn-to-ride programs, and Summer Camp programs. We plan to promote our Bicycle Programs to families and give away old bicycle helmets repurposed as hanging planters.

RecycleSmart provides solid waste services for Central Contra Costa County residents and businesses. RecycleSmart has contracted with Republic Services for the collection, transfer and disposal of residential and commercial garbage, recycling and organics and Mt. Diablo Recycling for the processing of residential and commercial recyclable materials.

A Leigh Creekside Park Improvement Plan is currently under review by the City of Lafayette. This plan illustrates concepts that are included in a design approved unanimously by the Parks, Trails & Recreation Commission (PTR) and Lafayette City Council.

Rising Sun is a non-profit organization that focuses on green education, installation, and water and energy conservation. This no-cost service is available for residents throughout the Bay Area and Central Valley and is ran by our California Youth Energy Services (CYES) program.
